At The RockStar Movement, we are dedicated to reviving the art of dance on stage. Our annual competition celebrates the talent and passion of dancers from all over the Monterey Peninsula.

We know competition websites can be overwhelming with SO much information. We at the movement try to make it as simple as possible.

Solo- $145
Duo/Trio- $85 per duet/trio
Group (4-9) $65 per person
Line and Production (10+)- $60 per person

We are doing something new this year.
We are going to allow (1) individual from your dance studio that will be able to sit to record video and take photos of your dances.
This means NO media fees at all.
Once registration is received, you will receive an email asking who is your designated person for media. A media badge will be given to that individual.
(This still means no one else is allowed to record or take photos.)

Basic Common Sense Rules
-All soloist's are allowed to compete 1 solo.
-Absolutely NO profanity, derogatory, inappropriate themes of music.
-Unless under the Acro category, there should only be 2 acro tricks per dance.
-Costumes should not be too revealing on the stage. Age appropriate awareness is a KEY essential to a great performance.
-Disqualification will occur from the items listed above.
-We have the right to refuse service to anyone.

-Props should be an easy transition on and off the stage.
-If you cannot get the props on and off the stage in less than 30 seconds, there will be a deduction in points.
-If you need more than 1 minute to 5 minutes, there is an additional charge of $5 per every 5 minutes.
Points and Awards

-Points are based on 4 categories.
Technique, Performance, Costume, and Overall.
-25 pointes each, totaling of 100 points
-Your adjudicated points will be given out to your studio directories.
-We ONLY announce the top 3 of each category and overall of the age division.
-This cuts down the time of award ceremonies.

-Safety of the dancers and community is our highest priority.
-We bring in our own Marley floor onto the stage.
-All employees and judges of The RockStar Movement are background checked, fingerprinted.
-We have our own CPR Emergency Technician (Nurse/Doctor) at our event.
